Is this a good thing? Well, it has its advantages and disadvantages. Cell phones are a good way to keep in touch with friends and family, but they have a habit of going off at certain times, like when your sleeping, eating, showering etc.Sometimes, the cell phone ringing annoys us, as it just seems to ring at the most awkward of times.
If we are at the cinema, at a wedding we seem to always forget to switch the cell phone off, and at times like this, its most likely to ring. Sometimes, people seem to forget as to what time it is, and they will call you at al hours, waking you up from your sleep, only to find out it is something that could have waited till morning. Its times like this the cell phone is a nusicance.
Cell phones are everywhere. Just walk down your local main street and you will see many people talking on them. They have become part of everday life. We use them for contacting friends and family, we use them for ordering pizzas, we have just grown so use to them that they are part of our everyday life and we cannot do without them now. No matter where you are now in the world, you can be contacted on your cell phone.
The concept of the cell phone is to contact and be contacted. But what we seem to forget, is that when we are in situations like a business meeting, wedding, funeral etc someone always forgets to turn them off, and in situations like these, this is when they should be turned off. If you find yourself in a situation like this, a cell phone gos off near you, your instinct is to check to see if it is yours, and the one whose phone it is, is left looking like an idiot.
Imagine how you would feel if your phone went off in one of these situations. Remember to turn it off, or at least put it on silent, when you find yourself ina situation like this.When traveling and if you are on-board an aircraft, you will be required to turn off your phone.
This is because electronics devices may interfere with the aircrafts avionics. Thus, it is a requirement to turn of your phone for safety reasons. However, for extremely long flights, airline companies allow cell phone usage at a certain time, if you really need to make a phone call, use this time allotted if necessary.
When you are in a place of worship, it may be necessary to leave your cell phone in the house or at least turn it off if you do not want to be away with it. This is because ringing cell phone will not just disturb you while you pray it will also disturb others.
You do not need to show off your expensive gadget in a place of worship. Cell phone have become to be a necessity nowadays, that is why most people use it and cell phone manufacturers have continuously develop different usage and functions for this very small gadget. Be globally competitive, but you should understand that being rude is not part of modernity.
