The legendary commodities trader Ed Seykota, who turned $5,000 into $15 million over a period of 12 years, was teaching a course in technical trading to a college class many years ago when he decided to conduct an experiment to illustrate to his students the value of money management, or position-sizing - that is, determining how much money you will risk on any single given trade - to the overall success of any trader's trading plan.

He told his class they were going to compete in a trading contest with each other. Each student would start with a hypothetical equity stake of $100,000. The winner, of course, would be the student with the most money at the end of the contest. However, there was a catch: Each student would buy and sell the same stocks at the same exact time, meaning those stocks would rise or fall exactly the same amount. In fact, Seykota pulled each "stock" out of a hat at the front of the room, and simply told the students whether it had gone up or down and by how much.

How do you conduct a trading contest when everyone buys and sells the exact same stocks at the exact same time? It is all about position-sizing - how much money you are willing to bet on each trade. After Seykota chose each stock, but before he announced whether it had gone up or down, each student was required to write down the amount of money he or she was willing to risk on that trade. They could risk as
little or as much as they wanted.

The results of the contest provided quite an education for Seykota's students - and should be remembered by anyone who puts their hard-earned money at risk in the market. By the end of the contest some of the students had lost their entire hypothetical stake and were completely "broke". Others had come out about even, making a little money or losing a little money. But a few of the best students - the best traders - had turned that hypothetical $100,000 into over $1 million!

Think about it: Two traders start with the same amount of money and buy and sell the exact same stocks at the exact same time. One goes broke. The other makes 1,000%! Therein lies the secret to survival, and ultimately success, as a trader. All the great traders will tell you that position-sizing is the single most important factor in their success.

So how much should you risk on any single trade - in other words, how much should you be willing to lose? It is best to risk a fixed percentage of your account value on every trade, and not vary that percentage from trade to trade. What that percentage should be depends on several critical factors. The most critical are your win-loss ratio, the size of your average win and the size of your average loss. Given these three numbers, your position sizing will determine whether you live or die as a trader.

The point of position-sizing is to be sure that you don't break the bank during a losing streak. Even a random coin toss can produce 10 tails consecutively, so make no mistake that even the best traders suffer through losing streaks of equal length. If you risk, say 10% of your account on every trade, and your average loss is 7%, a losing streak of 10 in a row could be devastating. On the other hand, if you are a day trader and your average loss is .5%, you can risk more money on each trade without worrying about a losing streak taking you out of the game.

Seykota says he never risks more than 5% of his account on any single trade. Many other highly successful traders think risking anything more than 3% of your account on a single trade makes you a "cowboy". A good starting point for beginning traders is probably 1% of your account. Many times aging is the process which determines quality and flavor or aroma of a wine. This is because aging allows for the wine to actually become a wine through the fermentation process. As we shiver in the icy blasts of December, it may seem a little bizarre to learn that the traditional winter panto is booming in South Africa, deep in the southern hemisphere where it happens to be sweltering summer right now.

In fact, panto is a particular staple for the Johannesburg Civic Theatre, as CEO Bernard Jay points out: “It’s become a brand. One’s never complacent in this industry, but it does sell very well every year at the moment. Each year you have to make it bigger and better, of course.”

Jay’s secret to making panto such a big draw – last year’s Peter Pan played to 95% capacity – derives from a handy intercontinental relationship with UK-based production companies. “Working with a big producer is the only way we can afford to produce a panto or musical here, because there really isn’t a touring circuit in this country, so we have to look at staging a show just for our theatre – with a run of five or six weeks.

“The idea of building a show with costumes and scenery from scratch, you just couldn’t possibly make it work. But the companies we work with don’t take any risk of loss since we guarantee the finances here.”

That cooperative attitude has led to the Civic’s thriving relationship with Qdos, as Jay explains: “We could never afford to build a really big, spectacular pantomime set and costumes for one season here, and then basically have to throw them away afterwards.

“After a successful beginning, we’ve now signed a new four-year agreement with Qdos, where we can plan titles with the company. They have 30 to 40 pantomimes in store, so we can say to them, for instance, ‘Next year we’re doing Pinocchio, so can we start looking at the set and costumes now’. “And they ship them over to us well in advance so we have the cheapest way of freighting them. That way we get a first-class, major pantomime production with a set and costumes that otherwise we just couldn’t create here – and then we send it all back to them for their future use.”

The link with Qdos began in 2001 after Spirit Productions’ British touring version of Spirit of the Dance somehow brought about a chance introduction to Qdos bosses Nick Thomas and John Conway. In fact, Thomas and Qdos pantomimes general manager Michael Harrison came out for the opening night of this year’s Snow White, which is now becoming something of a tradition.

The relationship is now a two-way one, as the Civic has just created the sets and costumes in South Africa for two new Qdos shows set to premiere in the UK. “Because we look after that process for them, Qdos doesn’t have to send somebody here for months to do that.

“We then set it up on our stage when it’s finished so they can see it and be happy with the workmanship and the finished detail, and then it’s shipped off to England to be used probably for the next 20 years by Qdos. So it works for everybody, it’s brought money into our economy, it’s kept our crafts people in the theatre industry going – many of whom have lost work after the disappearance of our producing theatres over the past few years. It’s a win-win relationship.”

The Qdos connection is not only a Christmas one. Because South Africa is a long way away, it doesn’t figure on the theatre international touring circuit. It has not been easy, therefore, for its venues to get people to think of the country as a touring date, but that is gradually changing.

The Civic, therefore, has also worked hard to bring in Qdos touring shows, such as Boogie Nights – twice – as well as Simply Ballroom, where the approach is quite different to the panto programming. With those kinds of shows, we literally fit in a three-week season in the middle of their British tour.

They’ll take three weeks off, fly out here, then fly back and go back to their touring dates again. And we have that same relationship with David King and Spirit Productions – we’re bringing back Spirit of the Dance for its sixth season, believe it or not.”

As with the pantos, these musicals are sometimes also cast with South African actors and future productions include Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Aspects of Love. Set for mid-2009, this is the version that Harrison has recently finished touring with David Essex and is produced/directed by Nikolai Foster.

Meanwhile, Lloyd Webber and Ben Elton have agreed to do The Boys in the Photograph, their rewritten version of The Beautiful Game, at the Civic. The plan is to do it in 2010 to tie in with the South Africa World Cup.

As Jay says of Aspects: “It’s hugely flattering because we’re going to do it with a totally South African company and they’ll be coming out to oversee it. And that’s precisely how we’re building a place for this theatre in the global world out there – we’re not just sitting here by ourselves and looking internally.

“Yes, we’re asking people to take a risk because we don’t buy shows, we don’t guarantee funds, but we work on a percentage with them so it is very important that people feel that coming to South Africa is a worthwhile venture.”

The American Dietetic Association includes the vinegar diet on its list of fad diets. Even though breakthrough research into vinegar is on going today. The Association considers the main reason you might improve your health with vinegar and lose weight is because the vinegar diet also involves eating managed portions, watching the nutritional values of food and exercising.

Amazing! They actually got what amounts to a Signed Certificate of APPROVAL from Google itself! Therefore, anyone who questions the truth or legality concerning "Get Google Ads Free!" need not fret at all. Yet, the usual "naysayers" seemed to ignore the obvious fact that if Google had a problem with "Get Google Ads Free!" then we all wouldn't be seeing all the PPC ads at Google each time we type in the keywords and phrases:

- free advertising
- "Get Google Ads Free"
- free ppc
- free adwords

And so forth! yet, there are many very stubborn, even foolish, among us... The "Crybaby Syndrome To be fair, I must also inform you of those who seem to be
out to get the company for sharing their amazing secret with the world.

In what seems nothing more than a ploy to get attention, a UK online firm operated by two "wanna-be" law students have a Blog that talks the usual trash about the Product.

The Blog's owner, Rob Scott, talks a big game by claiming the secret system to be nothing short of a scam! He even recklessly throws around the potentially libelous phrase ".con (Ooops, I meant .com)" as an attempt at childish humor in order to bash the firm's name.

What's shocking is that this individual is actually a student of law (at least that's what he claims) so one would think that he should perhaps check out the facts before proceeding with such careless remarks.

After all, he admits severally that he "never even ordered the ebook" so how could he truly know one way or the other if it was a valid system - not to mention it is assumed he's at least reasonably intelligent since (according to him) he got into law school, that he would be able to see for himself the firm's Affiliates' ads all over Google, and therefore reason that Google itself is perhaps the firm's
chief supporter.

But stubbornness abounds, I suppose. Ironically Rob says that the only reason he attacks the firm is because "it's a no brainer that this must be a scam," and he got "tired of seeing all those little AdSense ads on his page that people kept clicking on" (which by the way only stood to get him lots of M0NEY!) -- yet he accepts D0NATIONS on his site as a poor, struggling law student in need of paying for his education, and rather than legitimately earn an INC0ME from AdSense with an APPROVED Product.

Sadly, Rob actually censors most of his Blog so that others who wish to post POSITIVES concerning "Get Google Ads Free!" can't even do so. (*But what would you expect from a "wanna-be" lawyer?)

He even posts what appears to be an actual response by the firm's lawyer, but which is perhaps nothing more than his own posts disguised and designed to make himself look better (as anyone can see that the dialogue appears "manufactured"
instead of genuine).

What some people will do to project themselves as "Savior to the rest of us" and "The People's Advocate." How ridiculous indeed.

Despite the "crybaby" from across the pond, Rob Snot (Ooops! I must have meant "Rob Scott!") has failed miserably to put even a dent in the firm's sales! Plus, traffic is on the rise shooting up from an average of 14,OOO visitors daily to now well above 2O,OOO visitors daily (a jump of 42% in daily traffic alone! -- Keep up the good work, Rob!!)

Anyway, don't be dissuaded in your decision to build your online business by eliminating your Google AdWords costs, as the course "Get Google Ads Free!" not only reveals precisely how you can do this, but it goes 10 steps further by giving you all kinds of other amazing strategies I can't even begin to allude to here.

Exhale as you slowly straighten your legs, keeping your head and chest up, returning to the starting position. Repeat as required. 5 lb dumbbells work well, but you can start with 2 lbs and then work your way up to 5 lbs within 3-5 weeks.

Lunges: Front Thigh Exercise.

Starting Position: – Assume a standing position with your feet slightly less than shoulder width apart. Grasp a barbell with a wider than shoulder width grip and place it across your shoulders. Movement: – Inhale, keeping your back vertical and slightly arched, slowly step forward with one leg making a long stride, lowering your body down slowly until your rear knee lightly touches the floor (if you cannot go as low as this, then work your way up to it over 2-3 weeks). Exhale and shift your weight backwards, taking one step (or 2-3 small steps if that sounds difficult) to return to the starting position. Repeat on the other side. Remember to consult your doctor before this or any other knee exercises if you have had any knee trouble!

Lying Face Down:
Front Thigh Stretch.

Starting Position: Lie on your stomach on a matt with your legs together. Movement: Reach behind you and grasp your right ankle with your left hand. Pull your right heel up as far as you can. Hold this position for thirty seconds. Repeat as required on other side. Please remember to hold for 10 seconds for this stretch.

Seated Split Stretch:
Inner Thigh Stretch.

Starting Position: Sit on an exercise matt and spread your legs as far as you can. Movement: Lean to your right side and reach for your toes. Rest your hands on your toes or at your ankle. Hold this position for thirty seconds. Repeat as required on other side. Seated Butterfly: Inner Thigh Exercise. Starting Position: Sit on an exercise matt with your back straight. Movement: Bring the soles of your feet together and pull them in as close to your body as you can. Allow your hands to rest on your feet or to apply light pressure to your thighs. Hold this position for thirty seconds. Hold this position for 10 seconds. You will find this most effective if you gently push your knees down using your hands, be careful not to push too much.

Seated Hip Twist:
Outer Thigh And Rear Thigh Exercise.

Starting Position: Sit on an exercise matt with your legs straight out in front of you. Movement: Bend your right knee and place your right foot over your left leg. Exploit does what did you say? Now, a lot of us have heard of computer viruses, bugs, trojans and even the increasingly popular malware, but exploit, that might be a new one on many.

Basically, Exploit is a piece of software, a line of code, or a number of commands, that has evil designs on your computer. Oddly, it originates from the French word of the same spelling and it’s literal meaning is achievement. I suppose it depends on whose point of view, the criminal fraternity from where they originate, or yours. Because for you, it’s bad news, as exploit software is intended to disrupt computer software by force. And such aggressive attacks might manifest themselves by seizing control, denying the rightful owner access, or allowing privileged escalation.

But the true meaning of exploit is not lost on those who fall prey to it. Simply put, it exploits a vulnerable computer system, or network, and that vulnerability is usually brought about by a software design fault, or bug. Hence the word exploit – it exploits a weakness in the original code.And there are a number of exploits out there. For example, a remote exploit will attack a vulnerable system without prior access. Whereas a local exploit will already have gained prior access. What is particularly nasty about an exploit, is that it can be used to build up the level of control and gradually take over the whole system, and this is why it is most often targeted at computerised networks. It’s aim is to take control of the system administrator; and if you imagine the power that a bogus administrator could wield, it really represents a very severe threat indeed.

And the exploit, once it’s found it’s home, can effectively morph, and replicate, meaning that the original nasty piece of software is deleted, but the ones remaining, are worse than the original and can reap even worse damage. So, particularly unpleasant and just in case you wanted to know what a previous phrase used in this article means - privileged escalation – here goes. How an Overlooked Truth Frees Us to Grow

Even though Christians know God loves them, this amazing truth doesn’t always effect how they live as much as you might expect. Many still struggle with worry, stress, discontent, unloving habits, addictions, depression, impatience, etc. Why?

One answer is that it seems that in our efforts to drive home the truth that God loves us, we have neglected to emphasize another equally important truth: The truth that “God’s love and grace are enough.” While I’ve found that most Christians readily acknowledge that God loves them, most admit that their worry, doubts, and unhealthy behaviors reflect that they really don’t believe that his love and grace are enough. They think they need something more than what God is providing.

In theological terms, the truth that “God is enough” is the doctrine of God’s sufficiency, which can be found throughout the Bible. (See 2 Cor. 9:8, 2 Peter 1:3, Phil. 4:19, 2 Cor. 12:9). Even though we may believe God loves us, if we don’t also firmly believe God’s love and grace are enough, our lives will eventually become empty and dissatisfying, because of a self-centered focus on fulfilling our own perceived needs.

We will likely suffer from unnecessary worry, stress, and relational dissatisfaction. Not only will we miss out on the joy of glorifying God, but we will never live life to the fullest, the way God intended.Our Faulty Math When I’ve observed Christians needlessly struggling because they have never fully understood this one simple truth that “God is enough,” it reminds me of an experience from my college days.

My college buddies and I would take an annual ski trip to Mammoth Mountain, a ski resort about eight hours north of Los Angeles. Every year, we would carry out a tradition. On top of the car along with all our ski equipment, we would include a pair of crutches just as a joke. Everyone who drove by always enjoyed our sense of humor; they’d honk, wave, give us a “thumbs up,” or just laugh.

Unfortunately, I think we do the same thing with God, only we’re not joking around, and I doubt that God is laughing. It’s like we’re saying, “God, I know you can take care of me up on the ski slope, but just in case, I’m bringing my own crutches. I know God loves me and promises to give me all that I need. But I need more than that. I’m packing my crutches.” When we carry our “just-in-case” crutches along with God, it’s like we’re using faulty math. We’re saying:God’s love and grace plus X = my needs are satisfied. As opposed to the truth: God’s love and grace plus Nothing = my needs are satisfied.

When I’m having a difficult day, and I sense that I’m not really trusting God, I’ve found one of the most helpful things I can do is to look for what I’m putting my faith in besides God. For me, sometimes it’s staying out of conflict or looking good to others. Other times it’s being heard, respected, or doing something perfectly. Regardless of what it is, whenever I add anything to the equation, it puts the focus on myself and distracts me from following God's plan. What crutches are you carrying along just in case God’s love and grace are not enough? Maybe being successful, pretty, or popular. Or maybe controlling people so they don’t hurt you.

We all put different things in the blank that makes up our false equation. When we do, we’re not trusting God to be enough.However, when we make this one simple choice to believe that God’s love and grace are enough, in spite of our feelings and circumstances, it opens the door to God’s power and comfort in our lives. We experience the satisfaction and peace that comes from knowing that no matter what happens in our day, God’s love and grace will always be enough to see us through.

A Pennsylvania teen has been charged as an adult for allegedly planning to kill classmates.

Lawmakers say a ban on parents from spanking their children, even in their own homes, is a way to protect kids from abuse. But many parents believe it's an example of government run amok.

Ban corporal punishment at home? Okay let’s look at this again. I grew up with punishment, spanking was second nature to me and it made me think twice about cursing or disobeying authority.

I am still here today alive and kicking and a better person for it. Yes, in some cases you do get abuse, we should however ask if we are not blurring the lines between disciplining and abuse? Let’s also go one step further. Freedom of religion, those of us who are of Christian faith believe in spanking our children, but also in loving them. So abuse goes out the window.

How can a government say, let’s have freedom of religion but the part where you are free to spank (discipline) them is a BIG no no? There should be laws protecting kids against abuse (Real Abuse) but not being able to spank your kids for disciplinary purposes, come on guys! Why not ban religion altogether...

Kids today have no fear of breaking the law, they are protected under (child abuse), why listen to a teacher, why listen to parents. Child abuse laws has spawned total disorder in schools and the lack of fearing an authority figure will turn them against the very laws designed to protect them.

They are rebellious more than ever. One day their children will turn against them, the snowball effect. Just think for a minute…we wonder why our kids plan on killing class mates, or why they bring guns to school. The ban on corporal punishment at home needs a serious re-think.

SA's new driving points system

Details of South Africa's tough new measures to remove dangerous drivers from the road by suspending or revoking their licences have been revealed. The new system was introduced in Pretoria in September 2008 and will be extended throughout the country.

Every driver will be awarded 12 points. If you lose those points through 12 demerits in a year, your license will be suspended.

After three suspensions, your license will be cancelled. So strict are the new regulations that you could have your driver's license suspended immediately if, for example:

You're caught speeding.

You're not wearing a seatbelt.

Your car's tail lights are not in working order.

You left your license at home.

And in addition to losing your license, you will be slapped with a stiff fine.
